A multi-skilled production professional with a proven commitment to creativity, Nigel has many years of directing, editing and producing under his belt. Working across film, TV and advertising Nigel has a skill set and breadth of experience that sets him apart.

Nigel initially completed a degree and postgraduate diploma in architecture at UCL London before realising film was his calling. After working as a production assistant on dozens of music videos for bands such as The Shamen, Annie Lennox and Nick Cave Nigel moved into post-production. Starting as an assistant editor he quickly worked his way up to editor, cutting hundreds of commercials and music videos for leading London Ad agencies and record companies.

Now based in Melbourne Nigel has been senior TVC editor at Digital Pictures (now DDP), directed for leading production company Renegade Films, and directed and edited ‘Stand Up at Bella Union’, a 10-part SBS TV series for award winning Melbourne production company Princess Pictures.

Nigel has won awards for his writing and directing including Best Director at In The Bin Film Festival for his short film ‘The Deal’, an Australian Writer’s Guild AWGIE for short screenplay ‘Love Hurts’ and a BAFTA Focus on Talent Screenwriting Award for his short screenplay ‘Static’.

As a producer Nigel has delivered projects for a wide range of clients both as a freelancer and through his production partnership Thirdrow Films. Award winning feature documentary ‘Graceful Girls’, produced by Thirdrow Films and Optimism Film won Best Documentary at the Melbourne International Film Festival People’s Choice Awards, had a seven week cinema release at Melbourne’s Cinema Nova, 25 screenings around Australia and is now available on iTunes.
